The Los Angeles Quilt Show & Fiber Art Fest is a celebration of community, where artists of all levels are invited to show their creations in a unique public space. The festivities include professional and peer-juried competitions, interactive classes and the chance to meet quilting guilds, supply companies, and fiber artists spanning an array of styles.

Background is "Bleeding Heart" by Grace Errea, 2015 LAQS Peoples' Choice Award Winner.

Helpful Questions & Answers

 

1. Can we buy tickets at the door?

Yes, but instead of the $10 online price, tickets will be $15 at the door. So why wait? Get yours here today. 

2. Are children welcome? 

Yes, if accompanied by an adult.  Children 5 and younger may enter the exhibit for free; a ticket is needed for children 6 and older.

3. Is there parking?

Yes. Parking is always FREE onside and in neighboring overflow lots.

4. Is the facility/show wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Please use the ramp located on the Miner St. side of the craft market (to the far right when you are facing the building). Restrooms are wheelchair accessible as well. 

5. Is my dog allowed into the show?

The property as a whole is dog-friendly, but because of the extensive setup and sensitivity towards handmade quilt and fiber art creations, only service animals are welcome into the show.  You are welcome to leave Fido on the landing or in the market if he/she's well-behaved.

6. Is there food? Coffee? Adult beverages?

Yes, yes and yes. Cold beverages, coffee, snack and sweets can be found inside CRAFTED. There will also be food trucks located in our courtyard outside and we share the property with Brouwerij West.

7. Other than the exhibits, what else will be going on?

There will be speakers, shopping, music, adult beverages and classes you can sign up for (additional fees may be required depending class type).

8.  Can we touch the quilts and fiber art?

Yes, as long as you are wearing the gloves provided at the show (and as long as the piece is not marked "sorry, no touching").

9. Can we take photographs? 

Yes, in the show you are welcome to take pictures. However, in the market, please ask the artists and vendors before you take a photo.  Please share your photos of the event with us @laquiltshow and @craftedportla

10. What hashtags should I use for this event?

For Instagram, Facebook and Twitter please use #LAQS. If you tag your pics, you'll be automatically entered for a chance to win a gift! 

11. Can guests "re-enter" the show throughout the day? Are tickets good for both days?

Yes to both!  We encourage attendees to shop the handmade craft market and enjoy lunch or a snack indoors or outdoors. 

12. Why does my quilt need a sleeve?

Quilts will be hung suspended in a most spectacular way; trust us, it's worth the extra effort.  Here is a handy tutorial on making a sleeve.

13. What qualifies as "Fiber Art"?

Creations that are crocheted, knit, felted, woven, needle point, embroidery and spun.
